On 2 July ViVio will leave its current HQ and move to its new headquarters at 70 rue Rodenbach à Forest (1190 Brussels). ViVio takes over at kilowatch.be
ViVio, leader in health custom publishing, is taking over management of kilowatch.be, the Belgian weight-loss promotion website launched in 2003, with the support of Abbott Laboratories. ViVio is tasked with overhauling site content and managing the e-newsletter sent out to members. The new site’s technical platform is being developed by the Globule Bleu agency (Proximedia Group).

New Belgian Patient Guide published
The first 2009 edition of the Belgian Patient Guide series has just been published. This guide is devoted to a condition that often goes unrecognized, yet can be deeply incapacitating – psychosis. An 86-page publication written by a specialist in the field, it addresses the causes of this mental disorder, its impact on everyday life and the treatments available to sufferers.

A new patient magazine for Saint-Luc
ViVio’s custom publishing division is launching Saint-Luc Magazine. This bimonthly publication will reflect the intense activity that takes place at the St-Luc University Clinics. Patient Guides make more international headway
2008 saw the publication of the 25th Belgian Patient Guide, but perhaps more significant still, it saw the development abroad of these publications. Six guides have already been published by ViVio in the Netherlands, and five in France. Licence agreements have also been signed in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece, Germany, the Middle East, Turkey and Mexico.

ViVioFilms are born!
Because one good animated film is worth so much more than a lengthy explanation! ViVioFilms DVDs tell patients what they need to know about an illness, its diagnosis and treatment in an accessible, accurate and original way. Produced in collaboration with opinion leaders, these DVDs are distributed directly to patients by their doctor.

New Belgian Practitioner Guide on ADHD
With the support of Novartis, ViVio is publishing a new practitioner guide on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adults. This condition, which is well documented in children, remains poorly understood in adults. Vanbreda International, an insurance company specialised in international employee benefits, has asked ViVio to provide information to its members on various chronic disease by means of a new “diseases” section on its website. Two New Patient’s Guides
Two new titles have just been added to ViVio’s key collection, the Patient’s Guides: “Understanding and treating prostate disorders” and “Understanding and treating urinary incontinence”. Twenty thousand copies of each guide have been published. Currently consisting of twenty-four titles, the collection proved very popular among medical publishers from five continents at the last Frankfurt Book Fair.

ViVio at the Frankfurt Book Fair
