A “reference” magazine for referring physicians

Keeping information-hungry GPs up-to-date with what is happening at the Hornu-Frameries Hospital Centre – that is ViVio’s mission. Pierre Fabre Santé Magazine – We add another magazine to our list!

The Pierre Fabre company has commissioned ViVio to redesign and produce its health publication: Pierre Fabre Santé Magazine. With a print run of 30,000, the magazine is aimed at promoting health through nature and is available from pharmacies every four months.

New series of Nutrition Guides launched

ViVio is launching a new series of thematic Guides! Following the success of its Patient and Practitioner Guides, the first Guide to Nutrition has now been published. Educational and user-friendly, this instalment-based series aims to help the general public to adopt healthy eating habits. The first part, produced in collaboration with Danone, deals with probiotics.

The “Living Life Better” series of richly illustrated, practical guides provide key solutions to adapting one’s environment to cope with illness. Drawn up in collaboration with patients’ associations, they offer tried and tested solutions to everyday problems. The first in the series, devoted to inflammatory arthritis, is now followed by a second guide on Parkinson’s Disease.

ViVio takes over at kilowatch.be

ViVio, leader in health custom publishing, is taking over management of kilowatch.be, the Belgian weight-loss promotion website launched in 2003, with the support of Abbott Laboratories.  ViVio is tasked with overhauling site content and managing the e-newsletter sent out to members. The new site’s technical platform is being developed by the Globule Bleu agency (Proximedia Group).

New Belgian Patient Guide published

The first 2009 edition of the Belgian Patient Guide series has just been published. This guide is devoted to a condition that often goes unrecognized, yet can be deeply incapacitating – psychosis. An 86-page publication written by a specialist in the field, it addresses the causes of this mental disorder, its impact on everyday life and the treatments available to sufferers.

A new patient magazine for Saint-Luc

ViVio’s custom publishing division is launching Saint-Luc Magazine. This bimonthly publication will reflect the intense activity that takes place at the St-Luc University Clinics. Aimed at patients and their relatives, it will be available in reception areas and  patients’ rooms… because hospitals need their patients to understand what they’re about!

Patient Guides make more international headway

2008 saw the publication of the 25th Belgian Patient Guide, but perhaps more significant still, it saw the development abroad of these publications. Six guides have already been published by ViVio in the Netherlands, and five in France. Licence agreements have also been signed in Spain, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Greece, Germany, the Middle East, Turkey and Mexico.

ViVioFilms are born!

Because one good animated film is worth so much more than a lengthy explanation! ViVioFilms DVDs tell patients what they need to know about an illness, its diagnosis and treatment in an accessible, accurate and original way. Produced in collaboration with opinion leaders, these DVDs are distributed directly to patients by their doctor.

New Belgian Practitioner Guide on ADHD

With the support of Novartis, ViVio is publishing a new practitioner guide on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in adults. This condition, which is well documented in children, remains poorly understood in adults. This high quality publication written by two opinion leaders, Dr Pierre Oswald and Dr Steven Stes, fills that gap.

Launched in 1999 by Laurent and Philippe Violon (Vivio), monthly magazine Ma Santé is celebrating its 100th issue with a special edition, a fresh, new look and a fantastic competition with over 30,000€ in prizes... Epilepsy affects over 60,000 people in Belgium. ViVio, in collaboration with UCB, has recently published a new visual guide on this topic. “Disease” info for Vanbreda

Vanbreda International, an insurance company specialised in international employee benefits, has asked ViVio to provide information to its members on various chronic disease by means of a new “diseases” section on its website. The aim will be to provide the basic essentials, from risk factors to treatment, including screening.

Two New Patient’s Guides

Two new titles have just been added to ViVio’s key collection, the Patient’s Guides: “Understanding and treating prostate disorders” and “Understanding and treating urinary incontinence”. Twenty thousand copies of each guide have been published. Currently consisting of twenty-four titles, the collection proved very popular among medical publishers from five continents at the last Frankfurt Book Fair.

ViVio at the Frankfurt Book Fair
